Xoops 新聞模組同樣可分類輸出 RSS ，可設定一個新聞模組的分類，就是一個社運專題，讓網友可參與社運專題的共同編輯，其他網友/網站亦可接收 RSS 輸出。

Xoops 的討論區模組每一個討論版都可單獨輸出 RSS ，因此可為每個活動訊息類別開設一個討論版，讓網友根據類別張貼活動訊息，其他網友/網站即可讀取最新張貼的活動訊息。

預期各模組可達成什麼功能？

WordPress Blog 模組可用來刊登南方電子報文章，新聞模組可用來儲存各社運專題，討論區模組可用來管理活動訊息。以上功能皆可輸出 RSS ，讓網友視需要接收或輪播。MediaWiki 模組可用於建立歷史事件、人物、組織的資料庫。

新聞模組、討論區模組、MediaWiki 皆可透過 Xoops 會員管理功能讓編網友參與共同編輯。

選擇 Xoops 的理由是？

在台灣有許多 Xoops 玩家，也有許多中文工具書可參考，資源較多，使用障礙較少。此外，Xoops 可加掛 WordPress Blog 模組、MediaWiki 模組、討論區模組，符合南方的需求。
